Hendrix Gets The Horne - The Band

Guitar / Vocals

The central focus of the the band is acclaimed guitarist Lachlan Horne - hence the name!

“Riffs and solos pour from Lachlan's fingers with an ease that should make the competition weep …  a name to catch for true rockers everywhere.” Musician

"Horne can play. Oh yes he really can play.” Powerplay

Lachlan Horne has played sessions for a variety of music and media projects and his music has been used for computer games, radio commercials and even as a theme on a rollercoaster. He has released two albums under his own name both of which have served to confirm his status as a guitarist of immense talent. A huge fan of Jimi Hendrix himself and a true showman he is the perfect candidate to deliver the ultimate Hendrix tribute.

Drums

Horne has always been fortunate enough to be well connected with the best musicians. For both of his own albums, and the Hendrix Gets The Horne CD, he has employed the drumming skills of Primal Scream's drummer Darrin Mooney. Mooney has played along side Billy Cox (Hendrix's bassist in Band of Gypsies) and Gary Moore at the official launch of the Jimi Hendrix Live at Monterey 40th anniversary DVD. For the live set the drums are played by Anthony Bealing, a busy session player and a powerhouse of rhythm and technique. Perfect for delivering that distinctive Mitch Mitchell playing style.

Bass Guitar

The bass guitar is played by Owen Feeney - a very experienced player with hundreds of gigs under his belt. He has played with a huge variety of acts  and has toured extensively around the UK. Rock music is his speciality and he is the ideal choice to complete Lachlan Horne's own 'experience' line up.

Light and Sound

Every Hendrix Gets The Horne performance is delivered with full light and sound production in order to emulate the atmosphere of a psychedelic rock concert. Though not a look-a-like act all the band members dress in the clothes of the era to fully recapture the look and spirit of the late sixties.
